Elizabeth & Josh | Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms
Eight years ago a good friend came to me with a long list of last minute to do's for her wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. With a background in fashion design and a passion for planning weddings, she knew I wouldn’t let her down. One of the items on her list was a veil, she handed me a comb and a couple yards of tulle and asked, and “can you make me a veil?”
This is where it all began...
We all started somewhere, right? I find it humbling to revisit those special moments that significantly impacted my life.

I’ll admit I was a little nervous, my design background was extensive, but I'd never made a veil. As I researched how to make a veil, I also learned a veil can be many things, there are different shapes, gathering details, lengths and finishing’s. I knew the veil needed to compliment her look, add to her elegance and elevate her on her special day. I decided on a simple unembellished veil with a soft shape and medium gathering at the comb. A few hours later, it was complete and I had found a new confidence in my creativity and execution.
I arrived early to the wedding to drop off the veil Elizabeth's stressed energy immediately was relieved when she saw it. As I sat at the ceremony, I couldn't help but feel proud, I had helped my good friend complete her dream look. Helped her be the confident radiant bride that she was. You can't buy that feeling. After that day, my life's path changed and I began the journey to becoming a bridal accessory designer!
A few months later, I was excited to hear that Elizabeth & Josh's wedding was going to be published in The Knot Colorado magazine. Looking back over the images from the article, Elizabeth's style and personality shine. She took the time to add detail into every aspect of her wedding. From the custom cupcake flags to the handmade wedding sign, she created a beautiful event that showed off her creativity. "It's all in the details" making moments into memories for a lifetime.
